We want to make a safe, easily accessible place for ministry kid to be able to connect and find encouragement no matter where they are in the world. Due to the sensitivity of where some of our friends are, we will only use tag names.

There are so many recourses out there I wish I had known about growing up from books, to other ministries created just for missionary care to books and we want to get them in your hands!

Readjusting either direction is hard! We want to help you navigate that better and help people who are stateside understanding you better.

Through Our Eyes

A ministry created for

ministry kids;

by a ministry kid.

My Village

I’m convinced that everyone needs a village to survive life. When you’re in the ministry, it brings up some unique and challenging obstacles to find and keep your village. Everything from moving to you just don’t have anyone you feel you can be vulnerable with without fear of being judged. I want this to be a place you can talk freely about the unspoken hard parts of this life but also to encourage each other and leave feeling encouraged.

I can’t wait to meet you!

Our Purpose

The mission for the ministers…

01

Create an international village

God has created us to be social creatures but being in ministry can feel isolating because it seems that no one understands what you’re going through. I want to give you a place to interact with other people like you.

03

Create a safe space

In today’s world, there is too much judgment. As I spoke to other ministry kids I realized that there is a common theme of feeling pressured to live up to unrealistic expectation. This is a place where you can be a mess and be reminded that God brings beauty from ashes.

02

Lower the attrition rate

The rate at which people are coming out of ministry is far too high. People who have been working on this problem have noted that the majority of ministry families come out of their fields because they feel they have no other way to help their children transition into a life of their own whatever that may look like. I want to give you resources to more options that I wish I had.

04

Mental health awareness

This is not intended to be advice. I want to bring mental health to light in the ministry because this is something that we should not have to be ashamed of. Instead, we need prayer and healing over this matter. It is something that scripture doesn’t hide from, so why should we?

This ministry is done in loving memory of Kate Christiansen. She served our savior in full-time ministry for 15 years along side her husband of 25 years before she went home to be with Jesus, November 3rd ‘23, due to cancer.
